I'm surprised by some of the reviews. I've been going here for several years. I have a 15-yr-old car, so having a good mechanic is important for me. These guys charge a fair price and do a good job. I've been to several mechanics around town. Each time I've done so, I've come to appreciate the Honest-1 Auto guys on SE 82nd more.

Near my house which is a big plus. Mechanic was knowledgeable about vehicle. Was able to diagnose all issues. The work I required was easy - change belts, flush coolant, change oil & replace oil pan gasket. They did a good job and got it done in good time. I will go there again.

I am a regular here because they live up to their name. I used to live close by, but now I drive 15 minutes over here to get an oil change. I've been coming here for 4 years and my car runs great. Why?? I have a 1999 Toyota which needs maintenance now and then. I always talk with the SAME mechanic at the front (I think he's the manager) and he knows my car well. I ask "do I need this or that?" and he often says I don't need to do anything... how rare is that?? He'll tell me what to plan on budgeting for in the next year and such. I can't say enough good things about this place. Totally worth the drive if you don't live close by. I usually pop in and I'm done with the oil change in 20 minutes (and he doesn't try to get me to buy anything besides my oil change). It doesn't hurt that they also have a clean waiting room and computers/internet/magazines to keep you occupied.
